This is why Ballershope seeks long-lasting relationships because that blesses and establishes the relationship instead of the drive of seeking what we can receive. And this is also the reason why we are very selective with working with our clients. To some ballers he is even their pastor; teaching Bible studies, officiating marriages, baptising.
He has been to many people in the past a mentor, leading and empowering them to go the extra mile. Because of expertise and experience, he has gained his position.
Derrick is a former baller. Right before the opportunity of playing on a professional level he respectfully declined a first division team’s trial. He wanted to devote his time to his calling. He now also coaches on short time, advising ballers how to develop their skills on and off the pitch.
Derrick is an ordained minister (with Scofield Bible College) who officiates weddings, teaching and preaching the Word, encourages, consoles.
The miracle story of the twins, involving an impossible survival rate and 110 days in the hospital has been written down as his second book (‘From the deepest grave to the highest stage’). And now he writes more.
With a background in Business Administration and 7+ experience in the commercial world (former assistant of CEO Mr Crab restaurant chain and other firms) he advises on commercial level.
